About Dr. Hier

Dr. Lawrence Hier has been helping patients attain beautiful smiles in South Florida for over 20 years. He is the orthodontist that people of all ages turn to for optimum oral care in a friendly, comfortable environment. With an office conveniently located in central Jupiter, he provides patients with easy access to comprehensive and quality orthodontic care. Dr. Hier states, “My staff and I take the concept of “teamwork” very seriously. We work together in any way we can to provide the best treatment for our patients. We treat our patients like family, making them feel comfortable and letting them know at each visit how much we care.”

Dr. Hier obtained both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery from McGill University. He completed his three year orthodontic specialty and residency program at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

While in the residency program, he also obtained a Master’s degree in Oral Science, and was involved in pioneering computer imaging research in the field of orthodontics. He keeps abreast of the latest industry tools and techniques by actively participating in many national and local continuing education programs. Dr. Hier also attends numerous courses sponsored by Invisalign to maintain his Premier Provider status, as well as seminars related to practice management and 3D digital technology.

Currently, Dr. Hier also stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in Orthodontics by maintaining active memberships in many professional organizations such as the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Florida Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the South Florida Association of Orthodontists and the World Federation of Orthodontists. The Consumer Research Council of America has recognized Dr. Hier as one of America’s top dentists and he’s been published in orthodontic journals as well as local media and was featured in the Miami Herald.
